Amstel Gold Race first WT race for Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports in 2021

For the first time, Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports will be riding the Amstel Gold Race. On the 18th of April, it will be our first WorldTour race of the season.

Four Dutch and two Swedish riders will ride the prestigious race in their Biemme kits. Quinty Ton, Inez Beijer, Nienke Wasmus and Marissa Baks make up the motivated Dutch group. The team will be completed by Clara Lundmark and Nathalie Eklund – who might stand out even more in her Swedish national champion kit.

On the almost 17 km long course, the six Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports riders and their colleagues will have to ride seven laps. In each lap, the Geulhemmerberg, Bemelerberg and the world-famous Cauberg will be climbed. It promises to be nothing less than a brual Sunday morning.

“You can wake us all up in the middle of the night for races like this. The Amstel Gold Race is one of the races you dream of. Of course, it’s a pity that all the cycling fans can’t be there at the side of the road, but we are all grateful for the organisation to make this beautiful race possible in these challenging times. We are immensely proud to be part of the very strong starting field. It is our first WorldTour race of the season and the race will be broadcasted fully on television in The Netherlands. In short, this is an amazing opportunity to show ourselves. It is also a great measuring point for us.”

The Amstel Gold Race can be seen from 08.30 CET via a live stream on and in the NOS app. At 11.05 CET, NPO 1, Sporza, Eurosport, GCN also join in on the fun.
